A few years ago, I did some session work, and made a good amount of money. I decided that I should be doing more of this work, but it's hard to get one's name out there. You're either posting on various message boards several times a month, or you're paying an arm and a leg for someone else to do this for you.

Another thought occurred to me - musicians are generally poor (at least the ones who are pursuing it as a career). So why not make a place with an affordable membership? Make a place where only ONE job will pay for the membership. A place where everyone knows about, and will think of first when looking for a musician, or for becoming a session musician.

The general public doesn't know the options out there. That is why I wanted to create this site - make a place that people will think of first when they want to hire a musician.

So after begging and pleading with a few friends to help me out, I bring you musicians4hire.com - you can find musicians for whatever musical needs you need (weddings, studio work, live, cruise and more). And musicians can worry about their craft rather than posting on every message board in existence. We here at m4h are giving musicians the opportunity to get more work while they do less promotion.
